Interview workflow management

This article covers sessions and retries, live monitoring, and incomplete interviews (failed or abandoned). It ties together Results, Live, the interview editor, and session creation tools.
Maximum attempts
In the interview settings (often under scoring or options for that interview), set maximum number of attempts so the platform knows how many times a candidate may try. This works together with retake options on the candidate side where your branding configuration allows it. See Branding and Configuration for support-related toggles.
Creating a new session or invitation
From Results (and related entry points), you can open flows to:
Invite or create access for a new candidate
Attach a session to an existing candidate
Work from an existing result when the UI offers that path
Follow the modal or wizard labels on screen; they reflect the supported flows for your account.
Live interviews
Open Live in the sidebar to see ongoing interviews. The menu may show a count badge when interviews are active. Use this view to monitor real-time progress.
Failed and abandoned interviews
In Results, filter or scan for statuses such as failed or abandoned (exact names appear as chips). Typical next steps:
Contact the candidate or resend communication β see Candidate communication
Issue a new attempt if allowed by maximum attempts and your process
Always confirm behaviour in your tenant before promising candidates a specific number of retries.

Questions and answers
Q: A candidate used all attempts. Can I add one more?
A: Increase maximum attempts on the interview if your role allows it, or create a new session if the product offers that path. If unsure, contact support.
